Border Guards Mobilized In Belarus

This was announced by the State Border Committee.

Two weeks of "planned exercises" are held in the border guard forces. According to the State Border Committee, the activities began on February 17.

The purpose of the exercise is "to test the readiness of the units for the practical deployment and operation of command posts outside the permanent deployment areas".

The main objectives are "to improve the combat and mobilization readiness of the territorial border guard bodies, to enhance the level of readiness of the operational control unit to lead regular and subordinated units in various conditions".
