Milley told about it.

According to the US Department of Defence, he and US Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin held a Joint Press Conference following the Ukraine Defence Contact Group Ramstein virtual meeting.

According to General Milley, the Ukrainian troops are fighting valiantly and holding their positions in the city.

“Having a reliable defence, Ukraine has pinned down the Russian forces in this city, the situation requires very high costs from the Wagner group and the Russian regular armed forces,” General Milley said.

He also said that there was intense fighting in and around Bakhmut and the Russians were making small tactical advances but at great cost.

The US general added that the allied countries of Ukraine are seriously working on strengthening the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and the increased potential of the Ukrainian army will allow Kyiv to bring the war with Russia to a victorious end.

“The increased Ukrainian capability will allow the Ukrainian leadership to develop and execute a variety of options in the future to achieve their objectives and bring this war to a successful conclusion,” Mark Milley emphasized.
