Details.
Security forces are trying to prevent the uncontrolled entry of transport into Belarus from the Russian side. According to mogilev.news, a few days ago, small bypass roads at the border in Mahiliou region, which were mostly used by local residents, were dug up or blocked with trees.
As Charter97.org wrote earlier, on May 5, there were reports that some sort of checkpoints were being set up on the border with Russia from the Belarusian side. Drivers' documents and vehicles are checked at the six main entrances to our country from the Russian side; car queues have formed. Apparently, attempts to cross the border on minor roads were recorded, so it was decided to prevent this.
Since May 6, a stream inspection of vehicles of Belarusians has been carried out at the entrance to Belarus from the Russian Federation. Citizens who are on the list of law enforcement officers are summoned for conversations and asked questions about protest topics on video camera. Phones are also demanded for inspection. Similar things have been happening on the borders of Belarus with the EU countries for a long time.
