‘Putin's Mutt’: IT Specialist Convicted In Brest For ‘Insulting’ Lukashenka

The verdict was passed by “judge” Ina Klyshpach.

On April 26, the Maskouski District Court of Brest issued a verdict in the criminal case of 37-year-old IT specialist Aliaksandr Zanouski. The political prisoner was accused of publicly insulting Lukashenka under Part 1 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code.

Ina Klyshpach acted as a judge, and Fiodar Liashok — as a public prosecutor.

According to human rights activists, Aliaksandr Zanouski was taken into custody on March 10, 2023.

Zanouski was presented with the fact that he wrote 2 comments under the publications of the Belarus of the Brain Telegram channel. One message was written on February 24, 2022 under the news that Russian troops entered Ukraine from the territory of Belarus. The message was as follows: “The cockroach has already become Putin's squirt)))”.

The second message, by which (according to the prosecution) Zanouski publicly “insulted Lukashenka”, was also written under the news of the Belarus of the Brain Telegram channel. The comment was published on April 7, 2022 under the news with a quote from Lukashenka that “there can be no negotiations without the participation of Belarus.” Zanouski, according to the prosecution, wrote the following message under this: “Yes, he no longer decides anything. Putin's mutt”.

For these comments, prosecutor Liashok requested one year and six months in a colony under general regime conditions for Aliaksandr. The court satisfied the state prosecutor’s request.
