Elite units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces have arrived at the border of Sumy Region of Ukraine with the Russian Federation. The military are equipped with modern and powerful hardware according to NATO standards.

As obozrevatel.com has learned, this operation is intended to strengthen the advanced positions on the border of Sumy region. The reason for this is the increase in the number of troops from the enemy side.

Ukrainian special-purpose units have started arriving in settlements in the border areas of Shostka and Konotop districts.

These troops have advanced weapons and military equipment that meet NATO standards. The fighters themselves have undergone military training abroad. They will be toughening their service at the front lines of defence in Sumy Region.

Earlier, convoys of Ukrainian vehicles with special forces were spotted near Putivl.

Local residents confirm the presence of AFU units on this territory.

It is known that before this, units of two brigades of the Special Forces of the Main Directorate of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces (GRU) had been moved to the border regions of Kursk Region to carry out counter-diversionary activities and provocations.
