Arestovich Predicts When AFU Will Succeed With Breakthrough Enemy's Defences

Ukrainian reserve forces have not yet joined the battle.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine broke through the Russian front to the tactical depth in one of the directions. However, the area of the main strike has not yet been determined. Military expert Oleksiy Arestovich, the former adviser to the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, stated this on the air of Feygin Live.

According to him, the Ukrainian army completed its initial tasks in at least three locations. They broke through the Russian defences "in symbolic places".

“This is a very serious indicator, 3-4 days is very fast ... A breakthrough needs about 10-14 days,” Arestovich said.

He added that it is a breakthrough at the tactical level (up to 50 km). In order to reach the operational level (150-200 km), we need to wait until the enemy moves its reserves and throws them into battle.

“Only after that the direction of the main attack will be chosen and our reserves will come there, because then the enemy will not be able to manoeuvre,” the expert explained.

Arestovich added that the Russian army had already begun to transfer its reserves, in particular, from the Kherson region to the north, still not knowing the direction of the main attack.

“At some point, a good breakthrough will happen in a certain place and brigades will enter there, which will develop operational success. Our reserves have not yet joined the battle,” he said.
