Miraslau Lazouski Was Awarded The Highest Military Award Of The BDR

The Order of the Iron Knight was established in 1949.
The Rada of the Belarusian Democratic Republic has announced that Miraslau Lazouski has been awarded the title of Member of the Iron Knight Order.
The Iron Knight Order is the highest military award of the Belarusian Democratic Republic. According to its statute, the Order is an association of members, noted "for outstanding successful leadership of an army or detachment, or for a personal heroic military deed," according to the website of the BDR Rada.
The order was established in 1949 by a decree of the chairman of the BDR Rada, Mikolai Abramchyk. The Iron Knight Order is interpreted by the BDR Rada as the Belarusian successor to the Virtuti Militari Order, founded in recent years in the Grand Duchy of Lithuania and the Commonwealth. Tadeusz Kosciuszko became its member.
That’s the first known award of the title of Member of the Iron Knight Order since 1952.
Miraslau Lazouski was a fighter of the Kalinuoski regiment and the former leader of the White Legion patriotic organization, he died near Bakhmut on May 16.
