A Lithuanian citizen has allegedly tried to smuggle a large batch of bullets and cartridges into Belarus, reports the press service of the State Border Committee. The ammunition was seized.
The incident allegedly occurred at the Losha checkpoint on June 2. The 26-year-old Lithuanian man was driving a minibus to the entrance to Belarus. Examining his car, border guards allegedly found two caches, and in them - boxes with ammunition for firearms.
A total of 10,000 Lapua bullets and 2,525 Lapua Magnum shells were seized. They have been sent for examination.
