The dictator was again reminded that he would not be given control over nuclear weapons.
Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Sergei Ryabkov called the deployment of nuclear weapons by Russia in Belarus a necessary measure, TASS reports.
At the same time, he stressed that Moscow does not transfer control over nuclear weapons to Minsk.
“The steps we have taken within the framework of the single defense space of the “union state” are of a forced nature. At the same time, they do not go beyond the scope of our international obligations, including those under the NPT,” said Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov.
As the Charter97.org website reported before, earlier Lukashenka repeatedly stated that he would control the nuclear weapons transferred by Russia to Belarus.
