The political prisoner’s current location is unknown.

Activist of the European Belarus Civil Campaign Andrei Sharenda, the husband of political prisoner Palina Sharenda-Panasiuk, wrote about this on Facebook:

“I have news from Palina. She finally left the pre-trial detention center No 1 on Valadarsky Street in Minsk.

It became known that she was taken to the forensic examination department in Navinki [psychiatric facility - Ed.] for a ‘psychiatric examination’ on June 29. Palina immediately and strongly refused to give her blood for tests as well as to take any drugs and even talk to psychiatrists.

The ‘examiners’ tried to put psychological pressure on Palina, threatening to do their task by force. But the doctors faced the strong position of the courageous woman and were forced to retreat thanks to the great media storm.

The ‘psychiatric examination’ ended before it even began. Palina just slept in the ward for a week and was finally able to eat normal food, which we managed to send to her there.

The only thing that Palina managed to do when she arrived at Novinki was to weigh herself. Palina weighs only 47.5 kilograms! With a height of 170 centimetres. Her ordinary weight is 63-65 kilograms. She lost about 18 kilograms in two and a half years of this Gulag. It’s even hard to imagine how my wife is looking now.

Already on July 6, Palina was transferred to the Valadarka [pre-trial detention center No 1 on Valadarsky Street in Minsk - Ed.] from Navinki. She spent less than 24 hours there, and already on July 7 special transfer towards penal colony No 24 (Zarechcha) took her away. We do not know where Palina is now. But it is clear that the monsters are in a hurry to judge her, since her prison term ends on August 6.
