Alexander Fruman was born in Belarus, but he moved to Israel a long time ago and became a citizen of this country. On August 10, 2020, he and his wife were walking along Independence Avenue in Minsk and took a picture of a bus carrying law-enforcers. Unknown men in black immediately ran up to him. “We were beaten and thrown into a paddy wagon, and they continued beating us with batons,” the man described the beginning of that terrible story. When asked to call the embassy, the law-enforcers responded with swearing and anti-Semitic jokes. The man was released only three days later.
