Ukrainian Forces Took Significant Line Near Bakhmut

The Ukrainian army advanced significantly on the southern flank.

The Ukrainian forces have achieved a new great success in the Bakhmut direction. They are advancing on the southern flank.

A soldier with a call-sign Osman from the 24th Aidar Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine shared this, dialog.ua reports.

“We were successful today and took a crucial milestone. A little later, there will be more good news... There is no point in being in the village (Kleshchiivka, south of Bakhmut - Ed.). It is necessary to prepare the base in order to reach the height in the direction of Opytne one day,” Osman said.

Information about the success on the morning of July 9 was confirmed by the commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrsky.

“Bakhmut direction. We are making progress, the Defence Forces continue to move forward, and the enemy is trapped at the scene,” the Colonel General wrote.

He also posted footage of a fighter with the call-sign Alpha in the area, who destroyed the enemy with a shot from a distance of 1.2 km.

The advance of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Bakhmut direction is also confirmed by the DeepState resource. According to their maps, almost 13 sq. km of territory on the southern flank was liberated. That is, the Russian occupiers were knocked out from there and the Armed Forces of Ukraine are capturing these locations.
