'Pain Point': AFU May Launch Offensive In Third Direction

Ukraine is looking for the weak spots of the Russians.

Military observer Denis Popovich suggested on Radio NV that the bridgehead allegedly created by the AFU on the occupied left bank of Kherson region could be the beginning of the third direction of the Ukrainian Defence Forces' offensive.

"There is no official confirmation from the General Staff, although many sources say that they have crossed there to the left bank of the Dnipro. This pain point theoretically may well become a new direction for the offensive, since it is a relatively short distance from there to the occupied Crimea - 83 kilometres," Popovich notes.

In his opinion, this third direction will at least draw away the Russian army's reserves and stretch them even further:

"That is, there are even more questions [for the occupiers]. Where are these reserves to be deployed? Where exactly will this main blow be? Where will the Ukrainian army advance decisively and where will it break through the Russian defence? The more pain points, the more confusion on the part of the Russian command."

According to him, these actions on the left bank of the Dnipro River in Kherson region are part of a larger plan of the AFU:

"Now the game that has already lasted two months in fact is continuing. [It has been] more than two months since the beginning of offensive actions of the Ukrainian army on the southern section of the front. And these offensives began in early June. We are talking about finding weak spots".
