Media: Conflict Between Chief Of General Staff, Airborne Troops Commander Brewing In Russia

The inspections among paratroopers have begun.

The conflict between the chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the aggressor country Valery Gerasimov and the commander of the Russian Airborne Troops Mikhail Teplinsky is getting worse, which is demonstrated by additional checks among paratroopers. This was reported to the Gordon newspaper by sources in the State Intelligence Service of the Ukrainian Defence Ministry.

Sources in the intelligence service confirm the start of inspections of the Russian Airborne Troops' combat units to determine whether the personnel are loyal or disloyal to the leadership of the Defence Ministry and the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces.

According to the source, Gerasimov personally gave the order to the representatives of the Main Military and Political Directorate of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces to start the checks.

The sources note that Teplinsky is respected in the Russian army and considered to be the best replacement for Gerasimov by many people.

"Accordingly, Gerasimov, sensing his possible loss to Teplinsky in the struggle for his chief's chair for the time being, is turning on all possible tools to discredit the Airborne Forces commander in the eyes of the Kremlin masters," the source told the publication.

The SIS believes that the conclusions that will be presented in the reports on the results of the inspections are known in advance.

"And we can definitely state even more moral degradation of tired and badly beaten paratroopers, who are being finished off by their own 'commissars' with more frequent inspections," the source added.
