Budanov’s Sensational Statement On War Duration In Ukraine

The head of the GUR does not support popular opinion.

Kyrylo Budanov, the head of the GUR (Ukrainian Defence Intelligence) of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, expressed his personal opinion that the Russian war against Ukraine will not last long.

He stated this at the annual meeting of the Yalta European Strategy (YES), Interfax-Ukraine reports.

“I do not share the opinion that this will be a long war. This is my personal opinion, which is based on an analysis of the data that we have regarding the enemy,” Budanov said.

According to him, the Russians are really unable to carry out long-term operations.

“I’d like to stress, I do not consider six months, seven months, a year, to be a long period, then it is quite clear that you are right,” said the head of military intelligence.
