MAZ Loses Market Share In Russia

In 2023 MAZ increased sales of trucks in Russia by 43.8% to 6333 units. Autostat reports about it with reference to the data of the system of registration of new cars. At the same time, the Belarusian manufacturer's share decreased from 5.24% in 2022 to 4.41%.

In general, the Russian truck market grew last year by 70.8% to 143.7 thousand vehicles, i.e. the growth rate of MAZ sales was lower than the market average.

KAMAZ remained the leader of the Russian truck market, but its sales fell by 1.6% to 31.01 thousand vehicles.

Last year saw a sharp increase in deliveries by Chinese manufacturers. In second place on the market was SITRAK. The number of registered cars of this brand increased 6.3 times to 23.6 thousand. The brand's market share was 16.45%.

The third on the Russian market was also the Chinese brand Shacman with 20.76 thousand trucks, which is 2.1 times more than in 2022.
