In early January, Russian propaganda actively praised the new electronic warfare system "Volnorez", which was supposed to prevent Ukrainian drones from hitting the vehicles of the occupiers. However, its effectiveness turned out to be more than modest, and therefore the Russians are promoting a new "super jammer" – "Sania".

Ukrainian journalist Andriy Tsaplienko reported this. According to him, the new Russian jammer allegedly works exclusively against FPV drones, which are used as kamikazes.

The occupiers claim that the Sania can suppress both single drones and entire UAV companies at distances of up to 1.5 km making attack on the tank impossible. And after landing the UAV, the system automatically shuts down.

Author of the Telegram channel "Tanks. History and Modernity" emphasizes that the Sania, although declared as the newest automatic dome complex for detecting and suppressing FPV drones, in fact, looks extremely primitive and looks like a home-made product.

"Apparently, Volnorez was over, so there was a new development. While it looks like something very primitive, in the beginning — an ugly grill made of window grills, then a horned grill, then there will be a grill with branched horns," the author describes the design of the new "jammer".
