What the Kremlin spokesman said.

Bloomberg's report about Russia's alleged readiness to begin peace negotiations with Ukraine is untrue. This was stated by the press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov, Russian media reported.

“No, this is a wrong message, it is absolutely untrue,” Peskov said, answering a question from journalists.

According to the representative of the Russian President, Moscow still insists that Ukraine remain a neutral country. In addition, the Kremlin does not refuse demands regarding Ukraine’s non-entry into NATO.

According to Bloomberg, Moscow is sending Washington signals through intermediaries about its openness to negotiations to end the war in Ukraine. According to the publication's sources, the signals were sent to senior American officials in December through an unnamed intermediary. According to them, Moscow is ready to consider abandoning demands for Ukraine’s neutral status and even its position on Kyiv’s non-entry into NATO in exchange for recognition of new regions as Russian.
