The building has not been heated for several days, but classes have not been cancelled.
In one of the districts of the Minsk region, a school has not been heated for several days due to an accident at the boiler room, KYKY Sidelines writes.
This morning the temperature outside was -18°, and in the classrooms - from +6°C to +8°. During classes, children and teachers wear jackets because, according to the publication, officials did not allow classes to be canceled “so as not to disrupt the educational process.”
Instead, the school shortened the breaks between classes to allow children to go home early.
In Belarus, schools can be closed at -25°C and wind speed of more than 3 m/s, by decision of local executive and administrative authorities.
