What did happen?

In Sevastopol (temporarily occupied Crimea) on the morning of Sunday, February 4, residents heard an explosion. The sound was very loud, it shook the windows in some areas.

The Krym.Realii Telegram channel reports citing their correspondent. According to the source, it was similar to air defence fire.

The Russian "authorities" of the peninsula tried to calm the panic. The "governor" of Sevastopol, Mikhail Razvozhaev, claims that in the morning "training of Russian anti-submarine sabotage support using jet bombs" was carried out. In this regard, "loud sounds" were heard in the city center, he said.

"However, our correspondent emphasizes that the explosion shook the windows, which usually does not occur during such exercises of the Russian military," Krym.Realii noted.

We add that the Crimean Wind Telegram channel reported the sound of an explosion in Sevastopol around 7:45 (local time) on Sunday.
