Boris Kovalchuk spoke about exorbitant prices for electricity in Europe.

Putin was publicly deceived by the son of his friend from the Ozero co-operative society Yuri Kovalchuk, Boris.

During a meeting with PJSC Inter RAO, Boris Kovalchuk revealed that the West has not only "returned to generating electricity from coal everywhere," but also allegedly "sells it to the population for 1,000 euros per megawatt-hour"

"The share of coal-fired generation in a number of countries was several times higher than the share of coal-fired generation in Russia, although colleagues said they were striving for an ecological economy and fighting CO2 emissions, and prices were as high as 1,000 euros per megawatt-hour, in Russia it is 25-26 euros. This is what was and is still happening," the official said.

According to Kovalchuk, in Finland, which neighbours Russia, the price reached 900 euros per megawatt-hour a few weeks ago due to energy shortages. And on the website of the Pan-European Energy Exchange, which unites 13 markets in Europe, anyone can find out the current price of electricity in Europe.

As of February 5, none of the European countries had the tariffs voiced by Kovalchuk.
