Belarusian Military To Guard Russian Armed Forces In Border Area With Ukraine Until The End Of 2024

This refers to, among others, the Luninets and Ziabrauka airfields.
The Command of the Special Operations Forces of Belarus signed agreements on the tender “Services for washing uniforms and linen, Homel region.” The period for providing services is from February 26 to December 31, 2024, Flagstaff reports.
The tender conditions indicate that linen and uniforms are accepted at the customer’s premises. The location was not specified — only the Homel region is indicated in the tender.
The location of the customer of services can be understood based on information about the winners of the tender. Two organizations will provide services to the military: the Mazyr District Consumer Services Plant and CJSC Snezhinka from Homel.
There are no SOF units stationed on a permanent basis in the Homel region. But since the spring of 2022, supposedly to strengthen the security of the border with Ukraine, the SOF units have been stationed on a rotational basis in the Homel region (in the Mazyr and Homel districts).
“By coincidence (no), units of the 1530th anti-aircraft missile regiment of the Russian Armed Forces have been stationed at the Mazyr and Ziabrauka airfields, also located in the Mazyr and Homel districts. These military facilities do not have official status (for example, a military base of the Russian Armed Forces),” Belarusian monitoring groups clarify.
They recalled that they had already drawn attention to the fact that SOF units are engaged not only in guarding the border with Ukraine, but also in ensuring the safety of the Russian military.
Also, the SOF command plans to conduct field operations near the Luninets airfield (Brest region) from March to December 2024. The 56th anti-aircraft missile regiment of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus (military unit 10198) is stationed at the airfield. Apparently, the SOF units and this military facility will be taken under protection.
Thus, until the end of 2024, the SOF will protect units of the air defense forces of the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation located at the Luninets, Mazyr and Ziabrauka airfields.
