Belarus Starts Sending Conscripts To The Army

October 23, Belarusians, called up for compulsory military service, begin to be sent to the troops, reported in the press service of the Defense Ministry.

The draft is carried out by decree of Alexander Lukashenko.

"On the first day, about 1,000 conscripts will be sent to the troops, who will join the ranks of the Special Operations Forces, Minsk Military Commandant's Office, 72nd Guards Joint Training Center, 361st Security and Service Base," said the defense ministry.

A total of about 10,000 people are planned to be sent to complete the Armed Forces, other troops and military formations of the country in October - November. And about 500 more people will be sent to serve in the reserve.

The ceremony of taking the military oath will be held on November 22.

"Dismissal to the reserve of military personnel who have completed their fixed-term military service will be carried out in accordance with the law - in a timely manner, in October-November 2025," the Defense Ministry said.
