Vance Names New Possible Timeline For Ending The War In Ukraine

The US hopes that the war in Ukraine can end within 3-6 months thanks to active diplomacy and international efforts.

This is reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the interview of US Vice President J.D. Vance for the Meet the Press program on NBC News.

- This is a war and we want to stop the killing. The Russians have done a lot of things that we don't like, a lot of civilians have died. We condemned it from the beginning," Vance emphasized.

- The US vice president said he believes current President Donald Trump has done more to pressure the Russians than his predecessor Joe Biden.

- What do I resent? I resent the continuation of the war ... What really makes me happy right now? That we have a president who is engaging in vigorous diplomacy to try to stop the killing. That's the way it should be," he assured.

He emphasized that the American people should be proud of that.

- And whatever the outcome - whether the war ends in three months or six months, hopefully not later - we should be proud that we have a president who is trying to stop the killing," he assured.

Note that Vance also noted during the interview that the Russians had to concede to some of their demands.

In particular, as the vice president assured, the Kremlin had to recognize that Russia will not be able to establish a puppet regime in Kiev, and Ukraine will retain its territorial integrity after the war.
