Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces Valery Gerasimov has suddenly appeared on Russian television, which in itself is atypical.

He stressed that the Kremlin is not going to go for a ceasefire, but on the contrary - is preparing further offensive actions.

"The enemy will try to press both in the fall and winter. The directions of the main strikes may change. Perhaps it will not be Pokrovsk, but somewhere to the north. So far they are somewhere at the planning stage. How events will develop - we will see on the battlefield," Lakiychuk said.

The expert noted that Gerasimov's appearance on the screens was not accidental and reflects the problems of the Russian army, which continues to suffer serious losses.
