UK Defense Secretary: Don't Forget That Our Adversary Is Russia

John Hilley emphasized the importance of supporting Ukraine.

British Defense Minister John Healey, amid escalating relations between Europe and the United States over Greenland, urged not to forget that Russia remains NATO's main adversary.

According to "European Pravda", he said at a press conference with his Danish counterpart Troels Lund Poulsen in Copenhagen.

Gilly emphasized that amid "uncertainty," Europeans should remember that Russia is a threat to the entire continent as well as to NATO.

"It is Russian attacks that are escalating in Ukraine, it is Russian activity that is expanding in the North with new bases, and it is Russian reckless policies that are testing NATO's response and resolve," the British defense minister said.

He also stressed the importance of supporting Ukraine.

"After all, a secure Europe needs a strong Ukraine, and I am proud that our two countries (Britain and Denmark - ed.) are among the most active supporters of Ukraine and are providing military assistance to it. And together we clearly understand our mission - to support Ukraine in today's struggle and prepare for tomorrow's peace," Hilley said.
