Details.

U.S. President Donald Trump said on January 21 at Truth Social that he had worked out with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte a framework for a possible deal on Greenland.

The White House chief said he had a very productive meeting with Rutte in Davos, Switzerland, on the margins of the World Economic Forum.

"We have formed a framework for a future agreement on Greenland and, in fact, the entire Arctic region. This solution, if implemented, will be great for the United States and all NATO countries," Trump assured.

He noted that, based on the agreement reached, he "will not impose tariffs" against the eight NATO countries, which were set to take effect Feb. 1.

Trump said additional discussions are underway regarding the Gold Dome project as it relates to Greenland.
