Mark Rutte says Russian dictator 'vetted'.
NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte said that Russian dictator Vladimir Putin's willingness to conclude a peace deal on Ukraine is being tested.
Rutte said this at the World Economic Forum in Davos, according to Bloomberg.
Rutte rejected the idea that Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky is the main obstacle to a peace deal with Russia.
"I don't think that's fair. Zelensky absolutely wants an agreement. The question now, of course, is for Putin. Whether he is ready to conclude the agreement. And that is being tested now," Rutte said.
