An Iranian Protester Told Why His People Understand Belarusians Very Well

Both countries have a free future.

On January 21, Iranians living in Vilnius came to the U.S. Embassy to remind them of what is currently happening in their homeland. One of the protesters, Enayat told the Telegram channel "Basta!" about its aims:

"We can't get any information from families and relatives, and we are very concerned about it. We know that thousands of people have been killed and there are many more victims all over the cities.

We are here to be the voice of the Iranian people who have been forced into silence. There has been a massacre in Iran and it is still going on. So we must be their voice and show the world the brutality of this regime.

Donald Trump first promised the Iranians help if they took to the streets, people came out, many people were killed, and now we are waiting for his response to support the Iranian people.

There are very many similarities between the regimes in Belarus and Iran, as well as in some other countries, such as Venezuela, where Maduro was recently overthrown. We understand each other's feelings, the feelings of the oppressed. Belarus, like other countries, will be able to have a free government and choose its power, its leaders".
