A 20-meter crater formed.

A FAB-500 aerial bomb fell on Belgorod a few days ago. It was "dropped" by a Russian bomber, according to ASTRA.

On January 21, the governor of the Belgorod region wrote that "a crater from a munition was found" in Belgorod on Gubkin Street. But he did not specify how it appeared there.

A ASTRA sources in Belgorod region's emergency services said that a half-ton air bomb had fallen on the city. It did not explode, but punched a crater in the ground 20 meters deep. The bomb fell near a house.

After such an emergency, about 1,600 people, including 272 children, were evacuated from three nearby high-rise buildings. Of these, 43 residents were sent to a temporary accommodation center, while the rest went to relatives.

A bomb squad worked at the scene, and police blocked traffic. The bomb was eventually removed and taken to a local firing range to be destroyed.
