During the talks between Ukraine, the United States and Russia in Abu Dhabi, the Ukrainian delegation met with the Russian delegation and in a bilateral format - without the Americans.

The Axios writes about this, citing unnamed Ukrainian officials.

The publication writes that during the talks on January 23-24, the Ukrainian and Russian delegations met with American mediation, as well as directly in the presence of US representatives.

In addition, the negotiating teams met with the head of the UAE, Sheikh Muhammad bin Zayed. The UAE has previously mediated between Ukraine and Russia on the exchange of prisoners of war.
