He had previously stated that he would go to the front.
The former head of the office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak restored the right to practice law on January 23, according to the website of the National Association of Lawyers of Ukraine.
"The right to practice law is renewed in accordance with paragraph 1 of part 4 of article 31 Law of Ukraine "On Advocacy and advocacy" from 23.01.2026 on the basis of the application of the lawyer", - stated in the message.
According to the data of the Unified register of lawyers, Kyiv city qualification and disciplinary Commission of the Bar issued Yermak certificate of the right to engage in advocacy in December 1995. He ceased to engage in this activity on December 20, 2020, when he became the head of the OP. Before that time, he had almost 25 years of experience as a lawyer, reports "Dzerkalo Tyzhnya".
After the NABU searches at Yermak's home, the media reported that he was allegedly "going to the front." However, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine responded that Yermak did not apply to the TCC to undergo military service.
Yermak appears in the "Mindich tapes" under the pseudonym "Ali Baba". In particular, he participated in meetings and gave instructions on how to pressure the NABU and SAP.
At a meeting of the parliamentary TCK on January 15, the director of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine Semen Kryvonos and the head of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office Alexandr Klymenko said that suspicions have not yet been handed to Yermak about Midas.
According to the law "On advocacy and advocacy" and the norms of the Ukrainian Criminal Procedural Code, only the prosecutor-general, his deputy or the head of the regional prosecutor's office have the right to report suspicion of a lawyer.
The law states that a petition to conduct operative-search measures or investigative actions regarding a lawyer must be filed by the prosecutor-general, his deputy, the Kiev or regional prosecutor.
