Ukraine's Foreign Intelligence Service has learned the details.

The United States and Armenia are launching the TRIPP route, which deprives Russia of the role of the main player in the South Caucasus. The new corridor will connect Asia and Europe through Armenia and Azerbaijan without Moscow's involvement.

The Ukraine's Foreign Intelligence Service reports this.

American route instead of Russian influence

The Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP) project is becoming a new geopolitical factor in the region. It envisages granting special rights to the United States to develop the transit corridor.

A joint Armenian-American management company will gain control over the project for the next 49 years.

"TRIPP finally deprives Russia of its position as the main player in the South Caucasus," the Intelligence Service said.

The large-scale development and strategic importance of the corridor

The TRIPP plans to lay oil and gas pipelines, fiber-optic networks, as well as the creation of rail and road infrastructure along the railway line bordering Iran.

The corridor, according to the logic of the beneficiaries, will form an "important link" of the Trans-Caspian route running through China, Kazakhstan, the Caspian Sea, Azerbaijan, Georgia and further to Turkey and European countries.

The exclusion of Russia from the negotiation process

According to Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan, Russia's participation in the project was not even discussed by the American and Armenian sides.

According to the Intelligence Service, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan almost in ultimatum form addressed the main carrier of the aggressor country, JSC "Russian Railways", which is currently the concessionaire of the Armenian railroad, with a proposal to restore the destroyed tracks to the borders of Azerbaijan and Turkey in a short time.

Otherwise it will be done at the expense of Armenia and will add questions about the expediency of Russia's presence in the region.
