The U.S. midterm elections are scheduled for Nov. 3.

US President Donald Trump acknowledged the risk of Republicans losing control of Congress in midterm elections in 2026 in an interview with radio station WABC.

"Statistically, when the president wins, they [Republicans] lose midterm elections," Trump said.

The US midterm elections are scheduled for November 3. They will take place in the middle of President Donald Trump's second term and will determine the composition of the 120th US Congress. Republicans currently control both houses of Congress (Senate - 53 seats, House of Representatives - 218 seats).
