Belarus Has Approved A List Of Occupations For Which Foreign Workers Will Be Recruited In 2027

There have been some changes compared to this year.

The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection has issued a resolution establishing a list of occupations for which foreign workers will be recruited in 2027. The document was published on October 10 on the National Legal Internet Portal.

The decree stipulates the recruitment of foreign nationals and stateless persons without permanent residence permits in Belarus, “without regard to restrictions on the protection of the national labor market.”

Last year’s document listed 47 positions, the same number as for 2027, but there have been changes. For example, the number of blue-collar occupations has increased by three—forklift operator, poultry farm and mechanized farm operator, and tractor operator have been added (previously, only “agricultural tractor operator” was listed; now both positions are included). The position of track layer has been removed.

List of blue-collar and white-collar occupations for which foreign workers will be recruited

1. Blue-collar occupations:

1.1. concrete worker;

1.2. truck driver;

1.3. forklift operator;

1.4. livestock farmer;

1.5. bricklayer;

1.6. painter;

1.7. press operator;

1.8. core driller;

1.9. material trimmer;

1.10. vegetable grower;

1.11. machine milking operator;

1.12. poultry and mechanized farm operator;

1.13. carpenter;

1.14. cook;

1.15. leather presser;

1.16. salesperson*;

1.17. building and structure maintenance and repair worker;

1.18. leather and sheepskin stretcher;

1.19. orderly (male or female);

1.20. mechanical assembly fitter;

1.21. auto mechanic;

1.22. repair fitter;

1.23. plumbing fitter;

1.24. lathe operator;

1.25. tractor operator;

1.26. agricultural tractor operator;

1.27. milling machine operator;

1.28. seamstress (all types);

1.29. plasterer;

1.30. electric and gas welder;

1.31. electrician specializing in the repair and maintenance of electrical equipment.

2. White-collar positions:

2.1. agronomist (all titles);

2.2. veterinarian;

2.3. veterinary assistant;

2.4. Specialist physician (all titles and medical specialties);

2.5. Animal husbandry technician (all titles);

2.6. Engineer;

2.7. design engineer;

2.8. mechanical engineer;

2.9. software engineer;

2.10. process engineer;

2.11. electronics engineer;

2.12. power engineer;

2.13. nurse (all titles and medical specialties);

2.14. physician’s assistant for outpatient and clinic care;

2.15. technician;

2.16. electrical mechanic.

No new positions were added for office staff; however, midwife and
paramedic were removed from the list, leaving only veterinary paramedic and physician’s assistant for outpatient and polyclinic care.
