The Ukrainian Armed Forces Have Struck Russia's Largest Oil Storage Facility In Europe Once Again

  • 10.10.2026, 14:31

The General Staff reported a successful strike.

On the night of October 10, the Ukrainian Armed Forces struck the “Samara” linear production and dispatch station (LPDS) near the village of Prosvet in the Samara Region of the Russian Federation.

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The extent of the damage is being assessed.

The “Samara” LPS is a major hub for the reception, storage, and blending of crude oil. Crude oil is delivered via main oil pipelines from Tatarstan, Western Siberia, and other oil-producing regions of Russia.

At the terminal, crude oil with varying sulfur content is blended to produce the Urals export grade. The facility plays a role in meeting the needs of the Russian Federation’s armed forces.

In addition, it has been confirmed that on October 7, 2026, four RVS-50000 storage tanks were destroyed and a large-scale fire broke out at the Samara Oil Processing and Storage Complex.

As a reminder, the “Samara” Oil Storage Terminal is Europe’s largest oil storage facility—was struck by Ukrainian drones on the night of October 2.

On October 7, one of Russia’s largest oil hubs caught fire again in the Samara Region.
