Starlink's restrictions are costing Ukrainians their lives.

Ukraine desperately needs high-quality Starlink satellite communications. Without it, it is difficult to protect people from Russian attacks.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine citing an interview with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy given to journalist Piers Morgan.

The president answered the journalist’s questions regarding the speed restrictions imposed on Starlink in Ukraine by Elon Musk’s company.

“When Starlink’s speed drops, it’s clear what’s happening; if they shut it down, that’s their decision,” he said.

Zelenskyy addressed Elon Musk and called these actions wrong.

“This is a major mistake that leads to significant losses; this decision will result in many human casualties. Are people dying because of this decision? Of course, people will die. If the attacks continue and Starlink isn’t working—that certainly won’t help,” he noted.

He hopes this is a mistake and asks that the satellite connection be turned back on at full capacity.

“Perhaps there’s some serious technical problem—I don’t know—but we’re asking that it be turned back on. I think that would be honest and fair—as it should be in a partnership,” he clarified.
