This was reported by “Agency. News” on Telegram.
A fire following the drone strikes damaged one-third of the Yandex data center building in Sasovo, Ryazan Oblast, Russia. This is evidenced by Airbus satellite images analyzed by “Agency.”
Satellite images of the territory of the “Sasta” machine-tool plant, where the Yandex data center is located, were taken on October 12—four days after the UAV attack on the center.
Images of the same building taken in October of last year were used for comparison.
The photos from October 12 show damage to the roof on the western side of the building: in this area, the roof has turned black. In addition, damage resembling holes is visible here. In the central part of the building, objects resembling debris are visible.
Ukraine struck the data center in Sasovo on October 8. This was the first attack on data centers in Russia, followed by two more strikes on Yandex facilities (in Vladimir and Kaluga), and on Wednesday—on Sberbank’s data center.
Yandex has not reported on the extent of the damage sustained by the Sasovo center.
