In many areas of Mogilev today, October 15, “air raid” sirens were heard. City residents are posting about this on the social media platform Threads.

“Is the activation of sirens in Mogilev today without warning a cause for alarm?” wrote one Mogilev resident, addressing the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

“I received a text message on my cell phone two hours after the ‘air raid siren’ went off, stating that the sirens were being activated as part of a drill. We had time to get scared and nervous,” wrote another resident of the city, as noted by the website Charter97.org.

Earlier, the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that it was conducting a scheduled technical inspection of the public warning system in the Mogilev region.
