The dictator started talking about war and reminded everyone who was in charge.
Usurper Alexander Lukashenko demanded the creation of new “people’s militia” units in Belarus. He made this statement in the Verkhnedvinsk District during a visit to a training session for one of these units.
According to the dictator, the units should be based in specific villages within rural councils and maintain communication with one another.
“You have one unit—a good unit. But that’s not enough. We need to expand. We need to create such base detachments in other places as well. They must be connected to one another,” Lukashenko said.
He recalled that earlier instructed the head of the Belarusian Society of Hunters and Anglers Igor Shunevich to recruit people skilled in handling weapons into the militia.
Lukashenko explained the need for such units as preparation for wartime. According to him, militiamen must defend themselves, their families, and their communities, while territorial defense forces must protect infrastructure facilities.
At the same time, the dictator specifically emphasized who should command this entire system.
“At the very bottom is the people’s militia. Next comes territorial defense—the protection of infrastructure facilities. The People’s Militia, territorial defense, and at the top, the army. Naturally, this entire structure is under the president’s command,” Lukashenko stated.
