The U.S. president helped the Russian leader.
Russian dictator Vladimir Putin is delighted to have received such support—the lifting of sanctions by U.S. President Donald Trump. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy made this statement during an online briefing on WhatsApp, according to a correspondent unian.net.
“Unfortunately, the lifting of sanctions will continue. I believe that the ‘diesel agreement’ is just the first step. Unfortunately, it seems to me that this will not stop Putin; on the contrary, he derives joy and happiness from having such support,” Zelenskyy emphasized.
At the same time, the head of state expressed hope that U.S. President Donald Trump “will do everything to ensure that Putin stops the killings, stops the attacks on our energy sector, and ends this war.”
“But let me say this again: limiting Ukraine’s retaliatory measures against Russia for killing our people will not achieve this. And lifting sanctions certainly won’t either,” Zelenskyy asserted.
