Zelenskyy Mocked Gerasimov's Lies About The Situation On The Front Lines

The Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Federation is "spinning a yarn" for Putin.

Ukrainian defense forces are in full control of Dobropillya, Konstantinovka, Alekseevo-Druzhkivka, Orekhov, Novopavlovka, Novoandreevka, and Velikomikhailovka.

This was stated by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, according to Charter97.org, citing his post on Telegram.

The head of state was effectively responding to the fabrications of Valery Gerasimov, Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, which he had presented in a report to Russian dictator Vladimir Putin.

On October 18, Zelenskyy heard a new report from the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Mykhailo Drapatyi, and revealed the actual situation on the front lines.

“Dobropillya, Konstantinovka, Alekseevo-Druzhkivka, Orekhov, Novopavlovka, Novoandreevka, and Velikomikhailovka—all are under Ukrainian control. And we are defending areas near Kramatorsk. We are defeating the Russians 20 kilometers from Zaporizhzhia, not five, as someone over there in Russia is feeding Putin’s fantasies,” Zelenskyy stated.

As for the situation in Dobropillya specifically, the Defense Forces there are not only successfully repelling enemy assaults but are also preventing Russian infiltrations.

According to the head of state, the situation as a whole is challenging, but the defenders are holding their ground.

Zelenskyy also noted that Ukrainian positions remain firm in other sectors in the Donetsk, Kharkiv, and Zaporizhzhia regions.

“We are seeing the results of operations by the Airborne Forces and the Third Army Corps—our active defense. The trend has continued this year: since the beginning of fall, our soldiers have liberated more territory than the Russians have managed to capture. It has been the same during other seasons as well,” Zelenskyy emphasized.
