Since the beginning of fall, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have liberated more territory than the Russians have captured.

Since the beginning of fall, Ukrainian troops have liberated more territory than the Russian army has managed to capture during that time. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy made this statement in an address on October 18 following a report by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Mykhailo Drapaty; the transcript was published by the President’s press service.

According to the president, Ukrainian forces are thwarting Russian assault and infiltration attempts in Dobropillya and are also defending their positions on other fronts in the Donetsk, Kharkiv, and Zaporizhzhia regions. He highlighted the results of operations by the Airborne Assault Forces and the 3rd Army Corps.

“This year’s trend continues: since the beginning of fall, our soldiers have liberated more territory than the Russians have managed to capture. And it was the same during other periods of the year,” Zelenskyy said.

The President of Ukraine emphasized that Dobropillya, Kostiantynivka, Oleksiyevo-Druzhkivka, Orekhov, Novopavlivka, Novoandreevka, and Velikomikhailovka are under Ukrainian control. Defense forces are also defending areas near Kramatorsk.

“Our front is strong,” he said.
