The events took place in all 50 states.

In the U.S., more than 3,000 events organized by the No Kings movement took place across all 50 states; participants in the movement oppose the policies of President Donald Trump. The demonstrations took place, in particular, in New York, Washington, Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia, and Atlanta. Organizers called on Americans to participate more actively in early voting ahead of the midterm congressional elections scheduled for November 3, according to Deutsche Welle. As the Associated Press notes, protesters accuse Trump of authoritarianism and an excessive concentration of power.

In addition to rallies, some cities organized car parades, concerts, and community meetings. The exact number of participants in these events is not yet known.

The No Kings movement emerged in 2025. Its members accuse the Trump administration of an authoritarian style of governance and of weakening democratic institutions. According to the organizers, millions of people took part in the previous large-scale wave of protests in March.

The midterm elections on November 3 will determine which party will control the House of Representatives and the Senate. According to polls cited by DW, the Democrats could regain a majority in the House of Representatives following the election.

Meanwhile, Trump’s approval rating has fallen to one of the lowest levels of his political career. According to a Reuters/Ipsos poll published in August, 33% of Americans approved of the president’s job performance, while 64% disapproved. A similarly low approval rating was recorded in December 2017, during Trump’s first term as president.
