Belarusian opposition leader and former political prisoner Nikolai Statkevich met with EU representatives.

“I met with official EU representatives in our country. I took the opportunity to express my gratitude to EU leadership for their assistance to Ukraine and solidarity with the oppressed countries of our region,” — wrote Nikolai Statkevich on his Telegram channel.

“The current regional wars—the defensive war in Ukraine and the cold civil war here—are, first and foremost, wars over values, where the forces of freedom stand against the forces of tyranny. These wars will determine not only the fate of the region and the continent, but also the future of the entire planet. Support from the free world—in which the EU plays the most significant role—shows that we are not alone in our struggle, that the forces of freedom in the world prevail over the forces of tyranny. And that, in the end, freedom will triumph over slavery. “Belarus will be free!” Statkevich added.
