Ukrainian Drones Struck Europe's Largest Oil Storage Facility

New details on the strike against the "Samara" hub.

The "Samara" complex—Europe's largest oil storage facility—was struck by Ukrainian drones.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine citing the Unmanned Systems Forces’ Telegram channel.

The incident involved the the “Samara” LPD near the village of Prosvet. The station was struck by operators from the 1st Separate Center of the SSS.
The SSS refers to it as a major hub where Russian oil is received, stored, and blended. According to military sources, the station is involved in supplying the Russian army.

It is part of the oil infrastructure that helps Russia wage war against Ukraine.

The station is part of the “Transneft” system, covers more than 216 hectares, and its storage tanks hold more than 1.6 million cubic meters of oil.

The Defense Forces also targeted airfields, industrial facilities, oil refineries, a rocket and space center, and an ammunition depot in several regions of the Russian Federation and in the Black Sea.
