A Minsk resident _rimashka described the challenges of finding a job in the capital.

“What’s going on with job openings in the education sector in Minsk?” she writes. “I graduated from college in 2025 and have one year of work experience, but even that isn’t enough sometimes, even though they supposedly hire ‘no experience required/1 year or more.’

I want to work and make some money.”

Social media users suggested several ways to look for a job. The website Charter97.org shares some comments:

— I got my college degree, didn’t want to work for 1,000, so I moved to Poland. It’s simple, isn’t it?

— Try the employment center. Not as an unemployed person, but as someone seeking assistance (they have different statuses). They’ll at least give you referrals—even if it’s just for an interview.

— It’s always been this way and always will be. You finish school—no experience, they won’t hire you; then they’ll say, “You’ll get married and go on maternity leave”; then they’ll say: “Your kids are too young and get sick,” and then: “You’re too old!” They wouldn’t hire me either, so I went to work in a different field where they did hire me. I really regret not pursuing a career in my chosen profession—there was no one to support me.
