Musk Will Let Tesla Roadster Owners Recreate The Crazy Stunt From The Presentation

A special track will be added.

Owners of the new Tesla Roadster will be able to recreate the spectacular stunt that the company demonstrated during the electric car’s unveiling. To do this, Tesla plans to build a special track with loop-the-loops at its headquarters in Texas, where the car will perform stunts in autonomous mode, according to Autoblog (translation by Charter97.org).

Tesla CEO Elon Musk confirmed the idea in response to a post by blogger Robert Scoble on social media platform X. Scoble suggested that drivers of the new Roadster would be more likely to control it using voice commands than to drive it themselves.

“You’ll be able to ask the Roadster to perform any of the stunts shown in autonomous mode,” Musk wrote. He also promised to build a track on the headquarters grounds that will be “even crazier than Hot Wheels.”

However, only owners of the most expensive versions will likely be able to enjoy the attraction. Performing the stunts may require the Thrust variant, equipped with gas-powered thrusters developed by SpaceX. The company is accepting orders for it with a $250,000 deposit. The top-of-the-line Rocket version, available by invitation only, will feature ten such engines around the perimeter of the body and additional boosters at the rear.

Musk has not yet announced when the track will open or when autonomous features will be available. The Roadster itself has not yet been approved for public roads, and production is expected in 2027–2028.
