The user’s post garnered over 88,000 views and more than 200 comments.

User gusarovau60 wrote that her family of four spends “definitely 2,500” on groceries each month.

“There are four of us; at least 70 rubles every day,” shared fedorovich_dalnoboi.

“About 2,500–3,000 for three of us,” yulia_julee added to the discussion.

“About 1,000–1,200 for my husband and me,” said nadi.jpg.

“About 3,000 for the five of us,” estimated lis_nezhik.

“Four adults and one 12-year-old child—it comes to about 1,400 rubles, give or take,” wrote maksim_khatsuk.

“My husband and I spend 300 from my advance and 300 from my paycheck. And every three days, bread, milk, and sour cream—that’s another 10–15 rubles. That’s another 300 rubles. I use what we buy to make ready-to-cook meals, and everything’s great. My husband is a meat lover—he eats meat three times a day. So far, this is how it’s working out for me,” explained natakozyreva26.

“2,000 rubles for a family of five. That’s for meals at home, without restaurants or cafes,” shared mmakkarova.

“There are three of us in the family. I’ve been tracking all our family expenses for half a year now, and every month I think about how to save money. We spend 1,200–1,300 just on groceries. Gas costs 600–700. We spend 300–400 on cafes. And then there are little things here and there. Per month, excluding mandatory payments (loans, utilities, daycare, rent). It comes out to 3,000–3,500,” chomka detailed her expenses.
