A Dark Wednesday for the Russian Aerospace Forces.
On Wednesday, October 21, the Russian Aerospace Forces lost two military aircraft. The Russian Ministry of Defense and official media outlets have so far remained silent, but several major pro-Russian media outlets published the information immediately.
Dialog.UA looked into the details.
In the evening, Z-blogger Ilya Tumanov (Fighterbomber) reported the loss of another aircraft. According to his post, the crew did not survive.
“Unfortunately, misfortune never comes alone. Fly forever, brothers…”—wrote the propagandist.
Another Z-blogger, Kirill Fedorov, confirmed the information.
“Today is—(a very bad day—ed.). Two planes. We’ll carry on!” he wrote.
Fedorov accompanied his post with a black-and-white image of a Su-30SM fighter jet.
The Z-channel “Voevoda Broadcasts” noted that October 21 was “the hardest day yet for Russia’s Aerospace Forces.”
The location of the crash and the causes of the crash remain unknown.
Notably, a Russian Su-30SM also crashed this afternoon in the Kaliningrad Oblast of the Russian Federation. It crashed near a cemetery, and the moment was captured on video by eyewitnesses. According to Russian media reports, the pilots managed to eject and survived, although they sustained injuries.
